Rookery (poem)

Rookery

Perhaps in a rookery
She built upon
Twigs of contrasts
Beckoning with a beak
And then regurgitating worms
And bug parts
Like a red carpet
Of deception
So she can
Wing the skies
In search of more carrion
To satisfy her hollow gut
