Treasures (poem)

Treasures

Since it’s Saturday
And it possibly snowed last night
(The wet sidewalk tells me something happened)
I believe I’ll stay inside
And go through those dusty dreams
In the attic
Until the blue skies appear

Clean (poem)

Clean

Your intentions
Are like lice on a nit comb
Every morning reshorn
And decontaminated

Rough Draft (poem)

Rough Draft

Lumbering through this winter lullaby
Mists mingle and chill the foothills
Stiffening the hardwood forests
It’s December nostalgia once again
And cozying up, I’m staying in
Warmed by oatmeal and cranberries
And buffalo check
Rough draft gray dissolving

Newsprinted (poem)

Newsprinted

Feeling journalistic
After the rain
Wanting to splash it out
On the front page
Although no words come
D.O.A.
It’s an obituary

Forest Floor Fusion (poem)

Forest Floor Fusion

What was now is
An assemblage of passage
And aromatic ascent
To winter days
Signaling pleasant sighs
Like the metal lattice floor register
In that old farmhouse
Warming my flannel nightgown
From within

Petal Scars (poem)

Petal Scars

Tribal sisters
Being in the hippie groove
Garlanding our chromatic thoughts
Like daisy chains
To create ephemeral glyphs
And dance
