Minimal (Poem)

I wanted to see the complexities
Absorb them
Make them my own
All the detail
Minute, yet universal

I wanted a lightbulb to go off
And flash me the answers
To the riddles
And the jokes that were on me

But here we are
And I am not laughing
Although I am going to dance again
Hips swaying
And hair swinging.
